Week 71 Smoke Alarms!

March 19, 2019

Well everyone this was a great week with a good story.

Last Wednesday we taught an 8 year old boy who is getting baptized and his parents are having us teach all the lessons to him first. It was awesome. We also taught one other boy in the same situation. We taught Sarah, a member but hasn't been  in probably 30 years. It was interesting cause it was going really well then she started crying and then got up and left... awkward. We also taught 9 year old Noah, grandson of a member that we are hoping to baptize.

Well time for the great story of the week. So Thursday morning we woke up to our fire alarms going off... nothing had been cooked or anything so we opened the place up and they stopped. We got home that evening and shut all the windows.. and they started beeping again. So we were curious of it was co2 or what. We called the mission housing lady and she called the property manager. Long story short, the manager couldn't find anything wrong because it was the smoke alarms going not co2. And our housing lady didnt want us staying the night there. By this time it's like 11:45pm and we had to be up at 6 to go to Melbourne so we ended up just sleeping at the chapel. It was rough haha but we lived. They still keep going off randomly but we cant figure it out. Also we went to doctor appointment in the city for my comp yesterday so that was fun.

That's about it, love yall keep doing good!

Week 70 Emergency Exchange? Another Broken Collar Bone

March 12, 2019

Well as the title says, I'm not in Seymour any more... kinda. I guess I technically am. So Elder Nettleton (a past comp of mine) had to get surgery on his collar bone. He is up in Bendigo which is in our zone. He cant drive now and neither can his comp so they needed a driver up there. I volunteered so I've been up here for the past week and will be up here for a while. The 2 missionaries up here finish thus transfer too so I may stay next transfer as well?

So Thursday I went to the Train the trainers meeting. It's a instructional training President does for all the trainers and leaders at the beginning of the transfer. That was so good. That night is when I drove up to Bendigo. Its another Bush area so go figure! Friday and Saturday we visited some members here in bendigo and taught some great lessons, so that's been awesome.

Sunday was my first Sunday in a ward in 16 months!! Although bendigo ward is the same size as some branches. The ward is SO COOL. They're super nice and loving. Monday we taught a lesson to Sarah. She's a member but no records and attends another church. She's really looking for something else and we taught her a lot about the spirit. She's a nice lady.

Yesterday we had Elder Neilson the head of the missionary department for the church come to the mission! We had to watch on a live stream cause we were too far to travel :/ oh well, it was such a inspirational message and I think the mission will change from it!

Today has been alot of driving. Elder nettleton  had to get his bandage redressed down in melb so we had to go down for that. Anyway that's about it, i love yall and thanks for the support✌🏼

Week 69 New Transfer!

March 5, 2019

G'day everyone!!

Well my companion Elder Kerr went home! But before that we had his last district council! It was a good one, everyone had to eat these spicy noodles which I'm gonna say they are the spiciest in the world 😢😂 seriously it was bad but fun. Anyway yeah I sent him off on Monday and went with the greenvale elders till Tuesday.

My new companion is Elder Warren, from Gilbert AZ. Hes really cool we should get along well. Last night we stayed down here in Greenvale because we were playing basketball down here.  So it should be  fun day for us. Oh yeah I am also the district leader now so that is exciting. Sorry not a ton if stories this week and we were really busy with meetings and driving around. But next week we are getting a visit from the mission department so that will be exciting ! I hope you all are praying everyday. I know its very important that we do if we do anything. Love yall!!!!
