Week 63 Leaving Echuca

January 22, 2019

Leaving Echuca

Well yeah its true im leaving echuca after 7 months. It was sad but also I'm excited for my new area. I got transferred to Seymour with Elder Kerr! It's his last transfer so that should be fun. Seymour is another Bush area with a branch! Elder midgley and Kaufusi are in my zone as well so I'm pumped.

For pday last week we went to bendigo and saw some sights around there. We went and saw this massive Buddhist temple, really cool. The rest of the week nothing really exciting happened. I just was saying my final goodbyes. Sunday I gave a talk in echuca while my comp went with a senior couple to Swan hill to give a talk. I stayed with the ludbey boys on splits. That night we had a great dinner at the ludbeys. Monday consisted of packing mostly then we spent the last night at the ludbeys again. It was very sad when I left but oh well. Tuesday I drove to Seymour and spent the evening down in Greenvale area for pday today.

I hope you all are doing well, if you're struggling just remember the basics, read, pray, and go to church. Its pretty simple but effective. No one can deny the power they have when you put your heart into it. Love you all, keep on truckin.

Week 62 10 NEW PEOPLE TAUGHT!

January 15, 2019

Well this week was GREAT. so many miracles. Hopefully I remember them all.

Last pday we went to Echucas tourist place with a less active family! It was so cool and learned lots of history. The family is slowly opening up and progressing I think so I'm happy with that.

Thursday we tried following up with some people but ended up doing service for a less active family, the Anthony's. Sister Anthony said she is for sure coming to church next week! Woo!

Friday we also did serive at a less actives, mitch. it was well over 100 degrees. We pulled out a garden bed, well 2 of em and then weeded a garden bed. It pretty much gassed us. Lots of flies too so we had to wear fly nets. Good times tho no doubt.

Saturday was the best!!! We went to go see the media referral from the sisters in Utah! They're in swan hill and hour ams 45 minutes so we traveled up there. It was like 112 that day so luckily not much walking. Anyway so we get into their house and TEN adults are sitting there waiting to be taught! It was insane they were all attentively listening and asking questions. Their son about my wife died less than 2 months ago and they are super super shocked and sad. We taught them the plan of salvation and they were pretty comforted. They're are so humble. They just said to come back in a but I tried saying we can come once a week at least but we'll  see!!! Excited for them.

Sunday was another great one with echcys branch. At dinner that night at the Ludbeys for desert we had a pavlova cake with is pretty much like a pie. They all got a piece but then put the cake in front of me and smashed my whole face in it !😂 same thing they did for my birthday but this time was cause I'm probably leaving next week.

Monday after district council we went to Wang for exchanges. I went with out district leader Elder Stewart! He's from Canada and is the man! Such a cool guy. Then we came back Tuesday night and played basketball with the young men.

This week everyday is supposed to be over 100 with 2 days over 112. YAYYYYY. IT feel like I'm in a furnace fam. Love you all.

Week 61 Keep It 100!

January 8th, 2019

Alrighty then another week another great time down undah.  Let's get right into it.

Thursday we had a busy day getting things done because of new years no one was around. We met with Tom,  a guy we are teaching (sorta). Haha he always says he's a lost cause. Mostly cause he's a scientist atheist. But he enjoys a good chat about God and things so we take what we can get here lol.

Friday was HOT. It got around 114. Yep little toasty. That day we helped cut, load, split, and stack firewood. From 8am to noon we worked non stop. It was pretty fun actually! The family was an older couple and some of the closest I've seen to as hard as my family works! I felt at home with them.

Sunday was a great 2 hour church! Can't say it was brand new cause the good old Echuca branch has done it several times due to small numbers and not enough elder quorum. But still enjoyed it and got around to some less actives that day as well.

Monday I gave a training in district council. It was on following up, something very important in our people we are teachings progressing and repenting process. After the meeting, I went on exchanges with Elder Chwalik. He's a good missionary from N. Carolina. We got right into it and went to see our pal Len. A small miracle happened!! For about 4 visits it's been hard to talk about anything spiritual, however this time we read from the book of mormon and he felt the spirit! He didnt exactly recognize it but I know he did. He's an true aussie guy.

Then we met with Marnee. She is a super sweet lady we met tracting. She loves talking about the gospel and has loads of questions. I really see potential in her. She also fed us so scoreeeeeeee.

Next day was awesome. We visit good old Allen Watts, a less active guy, so funny.  Then we drove up to try and follow up with rita,  but she wasn't home so we tracted for an hour. Drove back, and then drove to Wang to drop Chwalik off. Then I drove back after a nice meal in Wang. All in all I drive 6.5 hours that day ðŸ˜‚

Thanks for making through this email and all the support!! I'm so blessed! Love ya mates!!

Week 60 NEW YEAR!!!

January 1, 2019

Well this was a great week for us.

We recovered from all the food and 109+ degree temps last week! It was crazy hot. Though, we still had fun.

Saturday we went to a baptism in the SHEP area! They are an awesome family I had the opportunity to teach once! So cool for them!

Friday we helped the Swan Hill branch pres move. It was just us and him and he had all his appliances and some furniture to move, so I'm glad we could help cause he really needed it. Sunday was a  excellent meeting in which we covered the new area plan for 2019, so excited for the members to grow and thrive.

Monday, NYE we just did the normal stuff and were in by the normal time hahah such a fun NYE, not;) anyway news years day was hard to contact people as most didnt wanna be bothered, but we set up heaps of appointments for later in the week!

I hope you all had so much fun over the break and are ready to smash this year!!! I know I am! Love you all, stay safe.
