G'day y'all!
Well this week was pretty good, we started the new year! Technically I started it 18 hours before all of you. Oh this was funny, so we are at kmart last pday and my comp was printing some pictures so i was just wandering around and this old guy comes up to me and says "wheres the wool?!" I said "uhhh i'm not sure?" i was super confused and he said "well you should know and you should train your staff better to know!' I said oh sorry i dont work here sir. He said oh sorry, it was funny cause he saw my nametag.
We visited a less active that was in the hospital this week and she was so concerned about here christmas lights so we took them down for her which was fun. Then she came home and we put together this big cupboard/drawer thing which was cool cause i was able to use an impact drill again. We also washed and polished our car thanks to the help of Elder Ferris the senior missionary that is hilarious and also likes cars. Speaking of that, he called us to help him cause a member needed his oil changed so we helped change his oil, then we (I) figured out he had a vacum leak so we fixed that with some electrical tape. Then we tried to figure out why his ABS light would shut off and we ended up changing his front brake pads. It was a good time.
We also did some had district meeting yesterday which we dont have often cause we are so far apart from eachother. And we are the only Elders besdies the 2 senior couples. But it was good, and we also are cleaning/restoring a tennis court at the Hoysteads home. Its like a turf court but its been neglcted so we have been cleaning it. I was the blister end of a shovel which was nice be again. I'll be honest i dont know if its Australia but the work ethic is not that good hahah. Maybe its just different than what im used to but people are pretty laid back. Any way service is good because when you are in the service of others you are in the service of God. Even tho it's pretty dang hot here.
Well hope you all had a good new year and have set some good goals! Remember to pray and I love you all!
Chillin' w/a Solo and my pup
